This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Promote a newly approved oncology product to oncology practices within a designated geographic area.
• Establish, nurture, and sustain relationships along with regular communication with physicians and key opinion leaders in the US.
• Engage oncologists, oncology nurses, office personnel, and pharmacists through face-to-face interactions.
• Educate healthcare providers on the client’s oncology product, approved indications, and patient support services.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the product, disease state, customers, and territory.
• Utilize the customer relationship management system for call records and account planning.
• Ensure a high level of expertise and customer service is provided to all clients.
• Collaborate efficiently and mobilize the necessary resources.
• Complete training to gain an understanding of the disease state and product positioning.
• Travel to medical offices and hospitals, with approximately 80% of time allocated to this task.
• Work around 40 hours per week, which may include weekend medical meetings.
• A BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university is required; a focus in business, life sciences, or a clinical degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or medical sales is necessary.
• At least 1 year of oncology experience with an understanding of the integrated oncology network is essential.
• Proven ability to plan, analyze, and act on sales data within an assigned area.
• Strong and persuasive business communication skills with physicians and providers.
• Capability to work independently while exercising sound business judgment and discretion.
• Ability to analyze and address opportunities within the territory.
• Familiarity with a Sales Force Automation (SFA) application is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% as needed to cover the territory, up to a 2-hour radius from the headquarters city; overnight travel may be necessary.
• Ability to execute a clinical product sale.
• Demonstrated success in managing a territory.
• Strong knowledge of VEEVA systems is essential.
