Oncology Educator – Learning & Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, providing hands-on and shadow-based training for roles within the Care Team.

• Assist new employees during their ramp-up period by addressing clinical and workflow inquiries while identifying any training deficiencies.

• Prepare and present training materials for new cohorts of the Care Team during launches into new markets.

• Travel to new locations to provide in-person training and ensure readiness for go-live activities.

• Collect feedback and integrate insights from market launches into the onboarding and training playbooks.

• Develop and sustain scalable training content that aligns with standards in oncology, palliative, and value-based care.

• Monitor and record the completion of necessary training and certifications.

• Convert clinical guidelines and protocols into practical training materials.

• Stay updated on emerging clinical guidelines and licensing requirements.

• Review documentation and workflows of the Care Team in relation to clinical quality measures.

• Create focused training to address adherence gaps and trends within the team.

• Provide coaching to Care Team Managers on implementing corrective actions and best practices.

• Assess the effectiveness of training initiatives through feedback and performance metrics.

• Collaborate with teams across Clinical Operations, Market Operations, and People functions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess a Registered Nurse (RN) license.

• Required hands-on clinical experience in oncology and/or palliative care.

• Some familiarity with precepting, mentoring, onboarding new staff, or conducting in-service training is necessary.

• Ability to clearly communicate clinical concepts and workflows to diverse audiences, both in-person and virtually.

• Proficient in managing training logistics, documentation, and compliance tracking with accuracy and consistency.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup setting where processes are still being developed.

• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

• Eagerness to train on and assist with virtual care staffing as required.

• A strong passion for enhancing the experience of individuals dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

• ONS certification is preferred.
