
Oncology Development Executive, Outside Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Drive the acquisition of new business, competitive displacement, market penetration, and revenue growth within oncology practices, pathology groups, cancer centers, health systems, IDNs, and academic medical centers.
• Formulate and implement territory growth strategies for Labcorp's oncology diagnostics, hereditary cancer, and precision medicine portfolio.
• Meet territory revenue, market share, new account, and growth targets.
• Oversee opportunities, pipeline development, forecasting accuracy, and sales performance utilizing Salesforce CRM.
• Build relationships with physician leaders, pathology groups, cancer center administrators, health system stakeholders, and executive decision-makers.
• Conduct consultative sales engagements centered on oncology diagnostics, precision medicine adoption, operational efficiency, and optimization of testing strategies.
• Create enterprise growth plans to enhance utilization across health systems, cancer networks, and academic medical centers.
• Influence testing pathways and adoption strategies within intricate healthcare organizations.
• Represent Labcorp's offerings in oncology diagnostics, hereditary cancer, molecular diagnostics, genomic profiling, liquid biopsy, ctDNA, MRD, biomarker, NGS-based testing, pathology, hematopathology, cytogenetics, and virtual pathology solutions.
• Convert clinical, genomic, and scientific evidence into business-oriented recommendations.
• Maintain updated knowledge of advancements in oncology diagnostics, hereditary cancer testing, molecular diagnostics, genomics, and precision medicine.
• Coordinate efforts among field sales, national accounts, pathology, medical affairs, market access, operations, and executive leadership resources.
• Monitor competitive activities, market trends, and emerging opportunities in oncology testing.
• Strengthen customer partnerships, broaden market adoption, support business expansion, and advance oncology initiatives throughout the territory.
• Assist healthcare organizations in implementing testing strategies that bolster precision medicine initiatives and clinical decision-making.
• Travel up to 75% within the designated territory.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent with 9 years of experience; or an Associate degree with 7 years of experience; or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in oncology sales, oncology diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, pharmaceutical oncology, biotechnology oncology, laboratory services, or precision medicine commercial experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in business development, territory management, or strategic account management.
• A minimum of 5 years selling into oncology practices, pathology groups, cancer centers, health systems, IDNs, or academic medical centers.
• Experience managing complex healthcare sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and executive decision-makers.
• Proven track record of quota attainment, revenue growth, or acquiring new accounts.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Clinical and business acumen relevant to customer discussions and strategic planning.
• Familiarity with oncology care pathways, biomarker-driven testing, precision medicine initiatives, companion diagnostics, NCCN-guided testing strategies, and EHR/EMR connectivity considerations.
• Proficiency in utilizing Salesforce CRM for opportunity management, forecasting, pipeline management, and account planning.
• Ideal candidate should reside within the territory.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, or a scientific discipline.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in oncology diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, genomics, hereditary cancer, precision medicine, companion diagnostics, liquid biopsy, or comprehensive genomic profiling.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience in commercializing NGS, molecular diagnostics, liquid biopsy, genomic profiling, hereditary cancer testing, pathology services, or precision medicine solutions.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience supporting health systems, IDNs, academic medical centers, enterprise accounts, GPO contracting, RFP processes, or strategic account management.
• Preferred: 3 years of experience selling pathology, hematopathology, cytogenetics, comprehensive genomic profiling, ctDNA, MRD, or biomarker testing solutions.
