Onboarding Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of customer environments, verify scope and prerequisites, and develop implementation plans alongside owners, milestones, and acceptance criteria.

• Determine the remaining validation needs for customers who have not completed a proof of concept.

• Facilitate technical working sessions and articulate recommendations clearly.

• Identify and address blockers, scope alterations, and unrealistic expectations proactively.

• Provide guidance on wired and wireless deployments, including 802.1X, RADIUS, certificates, identity integrations, device compliance, and access policies.

• Utilize logs, packet captures, and controlled testing to diagnose and resolve issues.

• Organize pilots, staged deployments, validation, and rollback procedures in collaboration with customer teams.

• Escalate issues to Support, Engineering, and Product teams with clear documentation and evidence.

• Manage customer communications and outline subsequent steps.

• Educate administrators, document deployed configurations, verify agreed outcomes, and facilitate the transition to ongoing support.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and wireless connectivity.

• Proven experience in leading technical implementations or resolving complex infrastructure challenges.

• Capability to articulate technical decisions and their outcomes effectively.

• Prior experience with 802.1X is not mandatory, but a willingness to learn independently through documentation, hands-on testing, and targeted inquiries is essential.

• Skill in testing assumptions, following evidence, and knowing when to engage others.

• Competence in steering technical discussions, explaining trade-offs, and maintaining composure under pressure.

• Ability to manage multiple implementations, follow up proactively, and highlight risks in a timely manner.

• Relevant experience with identity platforms, endpoint management, and certificates is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Entra ID, Active Directory, Intune, Jamf, or Okta is beneficial.

• Experience with Portnox, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Forescout, or Microsoft NPS is considered a plus.
