This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Configure and support OIPA v11/v12 utilizing Rules Palette or Equisoft Design.
• Develop and execute business logic through the OIPA rules engine and XML.
• Leverage extension functionalities to connect with enterprise systems.
• Design and implement REST, SOAP, and AS File-based services.
• Write and optimize SQL queries in accordance with OIPA’s database schema.
• Debug and troubleshoot rule configurations and overall system behavior.
• Create technical design documentation, prototypes, and specifications.
• Conduct code reviews and assist with test automation efforts.
• Collaborate with developers to create scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Develop AsFile, real-time, and push integration services.
• Work with Mulesoft, AWS Lambda, Terraform, CloudFormation, and various cloud infrastructure tools.
• Apply entity-based logical modeling and optimize data throughput.
• Assess system capabilities for supporting product and service integration.
• Maintain and provide support for both internal and third-party business applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues; offer off-hours support when necessary.
• Suggest improvements and foresee potential system challenges.
• Assist with acquisition-related system conversions and implementation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business teams to integrate merged entities.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and stakeholder meetings.
• Share responsibility for deployment, testing, and operational excellence.
• Maintain UML, data flow, process, and other technical documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Adhere to software development, quality assurance, and governance best practices.
• Foster collaboration and goodwill across IT and other departments.
• Actively participate in team meetings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

• Proficiency in OIPA configuration using the rules engine and XML.
• Experience with T-SQL / SQL Server Management Studio for query development.
• Proficient in XSLT, SOAP, REST, AS Files, Git, and GitHub.
• At least three years of experience with OIPA configuration, rules engine, XML, SQL, or T-SQL.
• A minimum of two years of experience with XSLT, SOAP, REST, AS Files, Git, and GitHub.
• Preferred experience in life insurance, particularly with Preneed life insurance products and processes.
• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and Test-Driven Development is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
