Oil and Gas Pipeline Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, evaluate, and maintain the integrity of piping systems that facilitate the conveyance and transportation of oil, gas, and water.

• Create efficient piping layouts.

• Conduct hydraulic and stress analyses.

• Review P&IDs and isometric drawings.

• Ensure systems comply with ASME, API, ASTM, and water-industry standards.

• Assist in fabrication, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting processes.

• Resolve issues related to flow, pressure, vibration, and corrosion.

• Ensure adherence to project specifications and HSE regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable engineering discipline.

• Over 5 years of pertinent engineering experience.

• Background in oil and gas and/or water piping design, facility engineering, or pipeline projects.

• Proficient in interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, and construction plans.

• Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license.

• Skilled in using the Microsoft Office Suite.

• Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, or similar design software is preferred.

• Familiarity with CAESAR II is highly desired.

• Knowledge of ASME B31.3, relevant API codes, and water pipeline design standards.

• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for meetings, site visits, and short-term construction assignments.

• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
