This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Drive and oversee the sales of Hamilton Company’s automated liquid handling components to OEM clients in the Eastern Region.
• Meet and exceed forecasted sales targets while fostering enduring relationships with key OEM accounts.
• Handle the complete sales cycle, which includes new sales development, forecasting, key account management, contract negotiations, demand scheduling, and collaboration with Customer Service.
• Work alongside Product Management, Technical Support, Marketing, engineering, applications, and manufacturing teams to create regional sales strategies and customer solutions.
• Identify and develop new accounts as well as manage significant strategic accounts.
• Showcase and demonstrate instruments in customer laboratories while providing follow-up assistance.
• Oversee sales activities for automated liquid handling and fluid management components and system solutions.
• Organize customer seminars, demonstrations, applications development, and both pre-sale and post-sale support.
• Seek new business opportunities through leads, networking, trade shows, research, and cold calling.
• Maintain account communications and documentation in HubSpot CRM.
• Manage instrument lifecycles and explore second-generation expansion opportunities.
• Evaluate product pricing and create volume discount schedules.
• Draft sales proposals and quotations while making pricing recommendations.
• Prepare, negotiate, and finalize long-term OEM supply and service agreements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define application requirements and product capabilities.
• Assess diagnostic and automation market demands and pinpoint major market players.
• Assist in the definition and development of new products for Lab Products OEM markets.
• Participate in trade shows, regional seminars, and company events.
• Act as the primary contact during the development of OEM customer automation solutions.
• Monitor order progress, acquire new business, expand opportunities with existing customers, and renew agreements and contracts.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited not-for-profit institution is required, preferably in the sciences or engineering.
• An MBA is preferred.
• Prior sales experience in liquid management component sales to OEM and integrator (design) companies is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of relevant sales and/or marketing experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with automated laboratory equipment is preferred.
• Ability to effectively present and communicate ideas to C-Suite executives, R&D teams, and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficient in using the MS Office suite.
• Experience utilizing HubSpot CRM to manage leads, opportunities, and account activities.
• Familiarity with ShowPad, Power BI, and D-365 business reporting tools.
• Willingness to travel nationally and potentially internationally.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
