OCI Cloud, Linux and Systems Analyst/Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Administer and manage environments in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including VMs, networking, Load Balancers, Storage, security, and other resources.

• Oversee Linux servers, focusing on configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and resource optimization.

• Deploy, configure, and sustain Java/Spring Boot applications and microservices.

• Analyze issues related to CPU, memory, disk, network, and overall performance.

• Troubleshoot Java services, performing log analysis, JVM assessments, Garbage Collection evaluations, and resource usage monitoring.

• Manage and optimize SQL Server environments, addressing queries, indexes, stored procedures, locks, concurrency, and performance enhancements.

• Assist with system deployment, upgrades, and configuration tasks.

• Utilize monitoring and observability tools effectively.

• Identify bottlenecks in infrastructure and applications, proposing effective solutions.

• Respond to critical incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and implement appropriate fixes.

• Automate operational tasks and administrative processes.

• Provide support to the development team regarding infrastructure and performance-related challenges.

• Document environments, configurations, procedures, and solutions comprehensively.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), covering Compute, Networking, Load Balancer, Storage, and Security.

• Robust experience with Linux, preferably Ubuntu.

• Understanding of systemd, processes, services, networking, disks, memory, and CPU operations.

• Proficient in log analysis and troubleshooting methodologies.

• Familiarity with Java applications, particularly Spring Boot.

• Experience in production troubleshooting, specifically with JVM, heap management, Garbage Collection, and thread handling.

• Knowledge of SQL Server, including query and stored procedure analysis and optimization techniques.

• Awareness of indexes, execution plans, locks, deadlocks, and concurrency management.

• Capability to identify bottlenecks in production environments.

• Shell scripting experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture is a plus.

• Knowledge of Docker is a plus.

• Experience with Kubernetes/OKE is a plus.

• Familiarity with Kafka is a plus.

• Understanding of CI/CD and Jenkins is a plus.

• Experience with monitoring/observability tools is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud security principles is a plus.

• Experience with high availability setups is a plus.

• Proficiency in Java application profiling is a plus.
