Occupational Safety Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and/or refresh Power BI dashboards to support the management of contingency-related issues.

• Oversee contingency-related training and discover new opportunities and content.

• Assist in planning and monitoring emergency drills at operational units.

• Suggest actions to improve leadership’s understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS).

• Track the implementation of contingency recommendations derived from risk assessments and inspections.

• Aid in the preparation and/or evaluation of Emergency Response Plans, PRE-SOs, Local Plans, and PROs.

• Offer guidance on emergency preparedness and response from an occupational safety engineering standpoint.

• Assist in the review of contingency management procedures and standards.

• Present on contingency topics, including HSE RACs and the Subcommittee.

• Conduct audits to ensure compliance of protective barriers identified in JSA, HAZOP, LOPA, and QRA processes.

• Oversee internal and external audits at refining, gas processing, DTEN, and LCM facilities.

• Facilitate data entry into internal systems such as InfoPAE, action plan, SERP, and iRISCO.

• Train professionals on accessing contingency-related systems and implementing necessary modifications.

• Provide support for PAGSMS audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.

• Understanding of integrated management system standards, including ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.

• Familiarity with SAP ERP or a computerized anomaly reporting system.

• ART (Technical Responsibility Record) applicable to the position and assigned responsibilities.

• Experience in activities comparable to the scope of services.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, supplemented by a postgraduate qualification in Occupational Safety Engineering.

• Registration with the appropriate professional engineering council.
