This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify, evaluate, and alleviate project-specific risks prior to and during execution, extending beyond typical operational procedures.
• Create and oversee contingency and mitigation strategies for essential activities.
• Ensure that all project undertakings adhere to legal regulations, GE Vernova corporate standards, and the EHS requirements outlined in the customer contract.
• Serve as a strategic ally to the Project Manager.
• Engage in progress meetings, manage the customer’s EHS expectations, and represent the organization during construction site visits or audits.
• Identify EHS resource needs, which may include specialized training, unique PPE, and additional technical support, based on the project timeline and the intricacy of each project phase.
• Evaluate EHS implications stemming from alterations to the project scope, schedule, or methods, ensuring that safety remains uncompromised.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or a related discipline.
• Prior experience in a similar role.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations pertinent to large-scale construction, installation, or long-term maintenance projects, including specific regulatory standards.
• Proficiency in advanced Spanish.
• Competency in intermediate English.
• Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally to field locations and project sites.
