Non-Investment Finance Expert – CL Funnel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and assess PnL and mark-to-market reconciliations.

• Manage reconciliations between traders and accounting, including month-end marks, commissions, and adjustments.

• Create and review vendor/AP payment reconciliations while adhering to cash constraints, utilizing PO, P-card, and aging controls.

• Construct integrated 3-statement and pro-forma models, factoring in purchase-accounting effects such as ASC 805 deferred-revenue haircut, PPA amortization, and synergy phasing.

• Conduct covenant and credit analysis.

• Work on allocations related to partnerships and professional services, including profit-pool waterfalls and capital accounts.

• Analyze primary sources such as term sheets, purchase/partnership agreements, trial balances, memos, and emails.

• Differentiate substantial information from intentional distractions.

• Generate deliverables or assess AI-generated outputs against professional standards.

• Compose narratives suitable for CFO/partner review that clarify assumptions, variances, and recommendations.

• Collaborate with top researchers on AI training and evaluation initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a practical non-investment finance position.

• Background in product control/financial control, corporate FP&A, technical accounting, treasury/financial operations/AP-P2P, commercial-banking credit, or professional-services/partnership finance.

• CPA/CA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent is highly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS; familiarity with ASC 805 and ASC 606 is advantageous.

• Proficient in advanced Excel modeling, including linked 3-statement models, reconciliations, and pro formas.

• Ability to exercise professional judgment in situations with incomplete or ambiguous information.

• CFA/investing/portfolio-management experience is not mandatory.

• Must be capable of working as an independent contractor.
