New Business Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders within the Netherlands operation.

• Lead the management of relationships with strategic partners and initiatives focused on growth.

• Oversee the launch of R2’s operations in the Netherlands and potentially expand into other European markets.

• Develop and implement the launch playbook across Product, Legal and Compliance, Risk, Data, and Finance sectors.

• Monitor launch progress, address obstacles, and ensure teams meet established milestones.

• Manage daily executive relations with strategic partners in the Netherlands.

• Take ownership of growth strategy, targets, profitability objectives, and platform success metrics with existing partners.

• Analyze business metrics, pinpoint discrepancies, and collaborate with Product, Risk, and Finance teams to create action plans.

• Coordinate coverage meetings, provide monthly updates to stakeholders, and deliver quarterly presentations to executives.

• Assist in developing the strategic partnership pipeline and facilitating deal closures.

• Represent R2 at fintech and industry events throughout the region.

• Contribute to the development and launch of new segments, products, and markets.

• Support the analysis, strategy formulation, approval, and execution of new business opportunities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in high-growth fintech or technology, consulting, investment banking, or a similar field.

• Proven track record of successfully executing complex initiatives from planning to launch.

• Preferred experience in payments, lending, embedded finance, or fintech.

• Demonstrated commercial fluency and credibility when engaging with senior external stakeholders.

• Comfortable engaging in substantial discussions with platform executives, financial institutions, legal advisors, and regulators.

• Strong sense of ownership, proactive approach, and ability to thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments with minimal structure.

• Proficient with AI; adept in using AI tools for research, analysis, and execution.

• Fluency in English is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Dutch is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of Spanish is an advantage.

• Must be authorized to work in the Netherlands and the European Union.
