This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take ownership of the New Build Deployment Tracker for designated buildings, monitoring milestones from Cable Ready to Production Ready.
• Lead weekly coordination calls regarding New Builds with cross-functional and internal teams.
• Monitor dependencies across various network layers.
• Integrate construction and network schedules while ensuring consistency among multiple schedule sources.
• Initiate or co-lead New Build calls starting at the cable commencement for data centers under construction.
• Provide weekly program updates that highlight risks, milestone accomplishments, and upcoming deadlines.
• Act as a liaison between Construction Managers, Deployment Engineers, Connectivity Engineers, and supporting teams.
• Persuade cross-functional partners to deliver and commit to timelines.
• Manage SEV creation and escalation for scheduling risks and cross-team obstacles.
• Oversee network infrastructure deployment across multiple concurrent buildings, typically managing 2–4 simultaneous sites.
• Monitor hardware delivery SLAs, material logistics, warehouse locations, shipping, and upstream dependencies.
• Comprehend and address differences among building types.
• Track and drive the resolution of deployment obstacles.
• Identify scheduling risks through SLA back-off calculations and hardware delivery timelines.
• Develop and manage SEVs for deployment challenges.
• Communicate impacts on timelines and provide updated schedules.
• Escalate issues to leadership when cross-functional commitments are unmet.
• Assist in the standardization of templates across different building types.
• Conduct lessons-learned reviews to uncover recurring gaps in the deployment process.
• Mentor and train incoming DEMs using a reverse shadow model and milestone sessions.
• Strong grasp of data center network infrastructure and production network layers.
• Familiarity with network deployment processes including rack & stack, provisioning, circuit audits, device scanning, and activation/undrain workflows.
• Understanding of material logistics such as hardware delivery SLAs, BOM management, warehouse operations, and vendor coordination.
• Proficiency in project tracking tools.
• Practical experience with AI tools and agentic frameworks for workflow automation and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across multiple cross-functional teams.
• Comfort in navigating political dynamics among organizations.
• Capability to operate independently in ambiguous and high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex multi-site statuses into clear updates for leadership.
• Proven track record of driving accountability.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience in project/program management in data center construction, network infrastructure, telecommunications, or critical facility deployment.
• Experience managing projects in the $1M–$10M range with multiple concurrent workstreams and cross-functional dependencies.
• Direct experience with various phases of data center construction: foundation, cable start, TFO, commissioning, and network turn-up.
• Experience collaborating with MSPs and field operations teams in a data center environment.
• Previous experience in hyperscale data center environments is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent professional experience (8+ years in data center/network deployment).
• PMP, CAPM, or CSM certification preferred but not mandatory.
• BICSI RCDD, CDCDP, or similar data center/cabling certifications are advantageous.
• Travel required: 15–30% to data center campuses for site visits and/or workshops.
• Ability to obtain site access badges and clear background checks for data center facilities.
• Flexibility to support critical deployment milestones outside of standard office hours.
