This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Connect with healthcare providers utilizing in-person, virtual, and digital platforms.
• Provide product expertise and information regarding approved conditions.
• Act as the main point of contact for healthcare professional (HCP) customers.
• Engage with customers personally through virtual or digital means.
• Refer customers to colleagues like Customer Service Specialists when necessary.
• Ensure that customer inquiries are addressed and gather feedback on the quality of engagements.
• Organize and facilitate speaker programs.
• Coordinate local provider groups to share experiences and outcomes with regional and local leaders.
• Share opportunities, feedback, and market insights with the Area Business Lead.
• Work alongside the ecosystem team to adjust targeting and call plans in a compliant manner.
• Utilize customer insights to guide local strategy and achieve business objectives.
• Proactively reach out to HCPs regarding product access, approved information, and established patient care protocols.
• Monitor progress and identify opportunities using competitive data, business reports, sales figures, and promotional budgets.
• Educate office personnel on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Network with professional organizations and potential key opinion leaders.
• Foster relationships with office and practice staff.
• Conduct office visits and sales presentations utilizing approved marketing materials and technical references.
• Report directly to the Area Business Lead and collaborate with Medical, Market Access, and Patient Support teams.
• Minimum of one of the following: 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales; less experience may be considered for individuals who successfully complete the Otsuka ReadyNow program.
• 3+ years of business-to-business (B2B) or equivalent outside sales experience in regulated, clinical, or customer engagement settings.
• 2+ years of clinical healthcare experience (e.g., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, RN, or similar) with proven patient-facing, medical education, or therapy-focused roles.
• Ability to convey complex clinical information, influence stakeholders, and translate scientific data into clear, practical value propositions.
• Dedication to ethical business practices and a solid understanding of regulatory standards.
• Capability to perform business activities in accordance with Company policies and guidelines.
• Proficient in assimilating and communicating complex clinical and product information.
• Must live within a 50-mile radius of the primary city in the sales territory.
• Familiarity with territory and business conditions that impact sales outcomes.
• Competence in educating office personnel on payer guidelines and reimbursement processes.
• Skill in utilizing promotional materials effectively.
• Ability to leverage market and industry knowledge to address objections and influence prescribing behaviors.
• Capacity to identify territory professional groups and network with potential key opinion leaders.
• Proficient in building relationships with office and practice staff.
• Strong product knowledge regarding own offerings and competition.
• Ability to deliver impactful office calls and sales presentations using approved marketing materials and technical references.
