Network Engineering Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Manage customer tickets, investigate issues reported by users, and ensure prompt resolution within established service level agreements (SLAs)

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, vendors, and suppliers to troubleshoot and resolve intricate issues

• Document the troubleshooting processes and solutions to enhance procedures and empower the NOC and Customer Support teams

• Conduct post-incident evaluations to pinpoint systemic problems and suggest platform improvements

• Engage in special projects and task forces that require cross-platform investigations and advanced problem-solving skills

• Assist with network modifications, ensuring minimal disruption and compliance with operational best practices

• Monitor and assess network performance to proactively mitigate recurring issues

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of IP networking, packet core technologies, VoLTE/IMS, and telecom protocols (TCP/IP, GTP, SIP, DIAMETER, MAP, SMPP)

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities utilizing tracing tools and Wireshark

• Experience with Linux/Unix environments for network diagnostics (preferred)

• Ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions

• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment, including participation in on-call rotations
