Senior Network & Security Engineer – Cisco, Fortinet

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Develop and oversee corporate networks for clients.

• Manage, sustain, and continuously enhance intricate network environments.

• Plan, design, and operate contemporary firewall, LAN, and WLAN infrastructures.

• Analyze incidents, independently resolve issues, and manage changes related to the network.

• Create automation solutions to boost operational efficiency.

• Provide technical expertise to internal sales teams during the pre-sales phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Higher education in computer science or equivalent professional experience is essential.

• Required certifications or training in Cisco and Fortinet; familiarity with additional vendors is a plus, as well as a readiness to pursue further certifications.

• Comprehensive knowledge of perimeter security, routing and switching, VPN, TCP/IP, and WLAN.

• Experience with an IT service provider and initial software development experience is beneficial.

• Proficient in both written and spoken German.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently with a focus on quality, while also possessing team spirit and analytical thinking.

• Experience in project work is required.

• Relevant certifications in networking or security, such as CCNP or NSE 8, are preferred.
