Juniper Network Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, install, configure, manage, and maintain Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, and various networking equipment.

• Monitor network performance to guarantee availability and reliability.

• Troubleshoot networks to identify and diagnose common issues.

• Implement and uphold security controls, firewalls, access controls, and security protocols.

• Create and sustain network documentation, diagrams, and service records.

• Address network incidents and resolve technical problems promptly.

• Schedule and execute network upgrades, patch management, and preventive maintenance.

• Collaborate with vendors regarding network equipment configuration and maintenance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• JNCIS or JNCIE certification is highly preferred.

• Experience with Juniper’s Apstra is desirable.

• 5–10 years of network administration experience, specifically focusing on Juniper networks.

• Strong comprehension of Juniper network hardware, BGP, OSPF, firewall configuration, VPNs, and LAN/WAN technologies.

• Experience with Juniper MX, SRX, and QFX equipment, along with the listed models.

• Familiarity with Junos OS versions.

• Experience in data center networks.

• Experience with carrier networks.

• Knowledge of routing protocols including BGP and OSPF.

• Understanding of switching protocols such as STP, RSTP, MC-LAG, VPC, and MPLS; with MPLS being mandatory.

• Knowledge of virtual routers, routing instances, and IPSec tunnels; mandatory.

• Familiarity with incident/change management tools like ServiceNow and Jira is optional.

• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as PRTG is optional.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
