Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, encompassing LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless solutions.

• Oversee and troubleshoot Cisco and Fortinet devices within client environments.

• Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for enhancement or optimization.

• Address complex network incidents and service requests promptly and professionally.

• Engage in network-related projects, including migrations, upgrades, and new implementations.

• Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.

• Document network configurations, alterations, and procedures effectively.

• Mentor junior engineers and facilitate technical knowledge sharing.

• Participate in service transition activities alongside Professional Services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent experience is essential.

• Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) Level 4 or higher is preferred.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, ideally within a managed services or service provider setting.

• Strong knowledge of Cisco IOS/NX-OS and FortiOS is necessary.

• Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ITIL concepts and service management practices is expected.

• Experience with cloud networking in Azure and AWS environments is a plus.
