Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the maintenance of network hosts and services, which includes routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN endpoints.

• Execute network maintenance and upgrades, which may occasionally require evening or weekend hours.

• Diagnose and resolve network issues and outages.

• Provide support for the global production and corporate network infrastructure, encompassing edge, backbone, datacenter, POP, and CDN infrastructure.

• Collaborate with vendors to address hardware and software challenges on servers.

• Aid in traffic-related inquiries and respond to ISP/partner questions.

• Address incidents involving input errors, CRC, RMA, and other related matters.

• Engage directly with ISPs and vendors to troubleshoot network concerns.

• Execute additional tasks as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from a recognized four-year college or university, along with 3 to 4 years of relevant experience and/or training, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• Fundamental knowledge of routing, switching, server operating systems, Active Directory, firewalls, wireless controllers, DNS, email, virtual machines, and software applications.

• Acquaintance with content delivery networks and internet peering strategies.

• Comprehension of server hardware technologies pertinent to content delivery performance and capacity.

• Capacity to work autonomously with precision and attention to detail.

• Capability to establish stable internal working relationships.

• Proficiency in adhering to standard practices and procedures when assessing situations or data.

• Ability to carry out office-related tasks, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.

• Competence to navigate within an office setting.

• Skill in using a computer.
