Network Analyst – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Act as a technical authority for the architecture, engineering, operation, and advancement of service provider and carrier networks.

• Lead the identification and resolution of significant, complex, or system-impacting incidents.

• Design, review, and enhance access, aggregation, transport, core, edge, BNG/BRAS, and CGNAT architectures.

• Conduct technical evaluations, pinpointing risks, vulnerabilities, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.

• Establish standards for configuration, security, high-availability, convergence, capacity, observability, and resilience.

• Plan and supervise high-risk changes, ensuring thorough impact analysis, testing, rollback procedures, and acceptance criteria.

• Operate at an advanced level with BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, routing policies, and both Layer 2 and Layer 3 services.

• Evaluate traffic engineering, capacity planning, redundancy, and route optimization scenarios.

• Create solution designs, diagrams, procedures, technical reports, root-cause analyses, and evolution plans.

• Validate solutions, projects, and configurations proposed by the team, clients, carriers, vendors, and suppliers.

• Support technical decisions in strategic projects, articulating risks, impacts, and alternative options.

• Mentor and develop analysts, fostering technical reviews, standardization, and knowledge sharing.

• Contribute to automation, tools, and processes that enhance security, efficiency, and quality of delivery.

• Represent NIIS technically in meetings, incident responses, and architectural discussions with clients and partners.


⛳️ Requirements

• Substantial experience in the architecture, engineering, advanced support, or operation of service provider and carrier networks.

• Experience in projects, technical evaluations, critical incidents, and advanced troubleshooting in multivendor, high-availability settings.

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, switching, routing, high availability, and troubleshooting techniques.

• In-depth expertise in BGP, including policies, filters, attributes, communities, route selection, redundancy, security, and convergence.

• Proficiency in OSPF and/or IS-IS.

• Solid grasp of MPLS/LDP and services such as L2VPN, L3VPN, VPLS, or their equivalents.

• Experience with VLAN, QinQ, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, MC-LAG, VRRP, and BFD.

• Familiarity with BNG/BRAS, PPPoE, RADIUS, NAT/CGNAT, QoS, traffic engineering, and access networks.

• Capability to interpret topologies, configurations, forwarding tables, logs, telemetry, flows, and packet captures.

• Advanced experience with CLI, diagnostics, and solution design in multivendor environments.

• Ability to prepare and advocate for projects, standards, reports, change plans, and root-cause analyses.

• Proven experience in leading technical incidents, projects, and critical changes within high-availability networks.

• Familiarity with vendors such as Huawei, Nokia, Cisco, Juniper, MikroTik, Datacom, ZTE, FiberHome, or A10 is a plus.

• Knowledge of EVPN, Segment Routing, RPKI, FlowSpec, BGP-LS, telemetry, NetFlow/sFlow, or routing security would be advantageous.

• Experience in network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, Git, as well as testing or configuration validation is a bonus.

• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, HCIP/HCIE, Nokia NRS II/SRA, MTCINE, or equivalent credentials are a plus.

• Possess technical depth, systemic vision, and the capability to transform complex issues into actionable decisions and plans.

• Demonstrate autonomy and accountability in high-impact incidents and changes.

• Exhibit a collaborative nature with the ability to develop other professionals.

• Maintain clear communication with technical teams, leadership, clients, vendors, and suppliers.
