Network Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Install, configure, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain Juniper networking devices and systems.

• Design and oversee routers, switches, firewalls, and additional networking equipment.

• Monitor network performance to guarantee system availability and reliability.

• Identify and resolve network issues and technical incidents.

• Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, access controls, and security protocols.

• Develop and update network documentation, diagrams, and service records.

• Schedule and execute system upgrades, patch management, and preventive maintenance.

• Collaborate with vendors regarding the configuration and upkeep of network equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in network administration with a focus on Juniper networks.

• Strong knowledge of Juniper network hardware.

• Familiarity with BGP and OSPF routing protocols.

• Experience in configuring firewalls, VPNs, and LAN/WAN technologies.

• Proficiency with Juniper MX, SRX, and QFX equipment and models.

• Understanding of Junos OS versions.

• Experience working with data center networks.

• Familiarity with carrier networks.

• Knowledge of switching protocols such as STP, RSTP, MC-LAG, VPC, and MPLS; MPLS is mandatory.

• Knowledge of virtual routers, routing instances, and IPSec tunnels; this is also mandatory.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to manage stress and maintain focus during technical challenges.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

• JNCIS or JNCIE certification is highly desirable.

• Experience with Juniper Apstra is also highly desirable.

• Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, and PRTG is optional.
