.NET/Azure Application Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement new applications and services, as well as enhancements to existing systems, within an agile environment.

• Convert technical requirements and architectural designs into high-quality, maintainable code.

• Participate in application design, technical specifications, development, and testing to enhance functionality and performance.

• Develop and integrate APIs and microservices.

• Work with both relational and NoSQL data stores, including Azure Storage solutions.

• Assist with ongoing Operations and Maintenance (O&M) initiatives for existing applications.

• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, testers, and other cross-functional team members to fulfill client needs and project objectives.

• Engage in code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.

• Drive continuous improvement in areas such as code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices.

• Support the mission-critical systems and tools of the federal government client.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and over 5 years of relevant development experience, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

• More than 5 years of experience with Microsoft development tools and technologies, including a combination of Visual Studio, SQL Server, C#, .NET, .NET Core / .NET 5+, WCF, SSIS, SSRS, and Azure DevOps.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and serverless architecture, Azure App Services, cloud-hosted solutions, deployment/configuration/environment management, and application development in Azure.

• Experience with NoSQL and cloud storage solutions, including Azure Storage accounts such as Blob Storage, Table Storage, and Queues, with knowledge of scalable non-relational data design patterns.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, including automated builds, testing, and deployments.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a development team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in building and improving software solutions.

• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Active Public Trust, or the ability to obtain one.

• Preferred: experience in developing or supporting systems for financial users; knowledge of financial systems related to commodity futures, options, or swaps; and exposure to federal or regulated environments.
