National Sales Manager – Immunology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Evaluate monthly sales performance trends for the national/regional Immunology portfolio and recommend strategic selling initiatives.

• Collaborate with leadership, marketing, training, and sales operations to create and execute field initiatives.

• Create and distribute reports on sales execution and business performance.

• Assess the needs of sales operations, prioritize accounts, and identify targeting requirements for the IAE field team.

• Oversee the franchise sales training program and develop training initiatives for the field.

• Incorporate marketing strategies into sales training and meetings.

• Discover tactical and strategic opportunities to enhance field execution and minimize administrative tasks.

• Organize sales leadership presentations for field interactions and senior leadership business reviews.

• Design and implement the communication plan for the franchise sales force.

• Manage sales support functions, such as analytics, diagnostics, Q&I reports, strategic selling, and field communications.

• Direct the development and execution of ongoing and ad hoc incentive programs for the sales force.

• Facilitate collaboration among Sales Management, Marketing, Sales Reporting, Commercial Analytics, and Quotas and Incentives.

• Oversee key IAE business functions, including the website homepage, rosters, national calls, leadership meetings, and presentations.

• Work closely with sales, marketing, brand, operational support teams, and external vendors.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 12 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector, with progressive commercial leadership roles.

• Experience in Immunology, ideally with a minimum of 5 years of operational experience, including launch experience.

• A minimum of 2 to 4 years of sales leadership experience within a pharma or biotech organization.

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.

• U.S. commercial experience is essential.

• Strong matrix skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively across AbbVie Inc.

• Demonstrated capability to influence and manage a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong executive presence coupled with effective leadership abilities.

• Proficient technology skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Word, and SharePoint.

• Ability to attract and nurture top-tier commercial talent.

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.

• Familiarity with the market, disease states, and products is necessary.

• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and presentation abilities.
