This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Lead and motivate a high-achieving National Sales Team.
• Enhance team capabilities, provide coaching to individuals, and promote accountability, collaboration, and ongoing improvement.
• Convert Brand and Marketing strategies into customer-focused field plans across the Oncology portfolio.
• Balance portfolio priorities and allocate resources to maximize impact.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Corporate Affairs, and other cross-functional teams.
• Establish, monitor, and optimize field performance in conjunction with the Business Unit Manager.
• Utilize the Challenger model to enhance customer engagement and field effectiveness.
• Drive strategic customer engagement and business development initiatives.
• Provide comprehensive people leadership, including recruitment, performance management, capability development, succession planning, and employee engagement.
• Oversee the National Sales budget and manage strategic projects.
• Report adverse events within 24 hours in accordance with AbbVie policies and procedures.
• Engage in WHS programs and advocate for a safe working environment.
• Complete necessary training and uphold compliance, ethics, and integrity.
• Carry out ad hoc administrative responsibilities as assigned.
• Tertiary qualifications in a science, business, or management discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Strong skills in coaching and capability enhancement.
• Robust strategic and commercial insight.
• Ability to translate business strategy into effective field execution and sustainable growth.
• Capacity to prioritize resources and adapt to evolving business requirements.
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership abilities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Capability to influence without direct authority.
• Proven track record of identifying opportunities, solving complex problems, and driving strategic initiatives to successful outcomes.
• In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare landscape.
• Oncology experience is highly valued, particularly in haematology and/or solid tumours.
• Flexibility and availability to occasionally attend business meetings outside standard hours.
• Compliance with AbbVie’s policies, codes of conduct, compliance processes, and ethical standards.
