This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Propel profitable growth by acquiring new customers, reactivating dormant accounts, and expanding strategic accounts within the Specialty Fuels sector.
• Formulate and implement national territory and target-account strategies utilizing prospecting, networking, referrals, market intelligence, and industry involvement.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle from initial engagement to qualification, technical alignment, proposal formulation, negotiation, contract finalization, and implementation.
• Cultivate relationships with technical, procurement, operations, program management, and executive stakeholders.
• Enhance existing customer relationships by pinpointing new applications, additional sites, cross-selling opportunities, and competitive displacement strategies.
• Assess customer needs, specifications, demand profiles, pricing factors, and commercial opportunities to create value-driven solutions.
• Keep track of customer demand, competitive actions, pricing trends, supply changes, and emerging opportunities to deliver market and commercial insights.
• Collaborate with Operations, R&D, Quality, Logistics, Customer Service, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Ensure accurate CRM data, account plans, opportunity pipelines, and forecasts are maintained.
• Travel frequently to customer locations, industry conferences, trade shows, and other business-related events.
• Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required.
• At least 7 years of experience in leading new business development and managing complex B2B sales opportunities.
• A proven track record of generating pipeline, securing new business, and meeting profitable growth objectives.
• Experience in expanding strategic accounts and reactivating inactive customer relationships.
• Demonstrated capability in managing complex sales cycles that involve technical and executive stakeholders.
• Strong commercial insight, including pricing, margin, cost-to-serve, and business risk assessment.
• Familiarity with account planning, forecasting, CRM systems, and pipeline management is essential.
• Ability to recognize, develop, and convert new business opportunities into profitable growth.
• Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities.
• Proficient communication skills for engaging with technical, operational, procurement, and executive audiences.
• Robust business and financial acumen with sound commercial judgment.
• Quick learner of technical products, applications, and specifications.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and opportunity management skills.
• Self-motivated with a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
• Resilient and adaptable in competitive, technically challenging, and evolving markets.
• Willingness and ability to travel nationally up to 70% of the time.
• Preferably 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within specialty chemicals, fuels, energy, aerospace, automotive, or similar industrial sectors.
• A background in specialty fuels, performance chemicals, hydrocarbons, or other specification-driven products is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting customers in aerospace, defense, government, automotive OEM, testing laboratory, or industrial distribution is preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience may be considered.
