This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Contribute to the development and take charge of implementing an annual sales strategy.
• Guide, oversee, assess, and enhance the capabilities of the national grocery sales team.
• Supervise, evaluate, and analyze broker partnerships.
• Oversee, assess, and manage direct retailer, wholesaler, and specialty distributor supply initiatives and daily operations.
• Take on the responsibilities of a Regional Grocery Sales Executive for a designated customer region and work on building a robust sales portfolio.
• Review customer performance on a weekly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Analyze and present direct customer, regional, and national scan data.
• Execute and assess marketing and promotional expenditure programs on both account and regional levels.
• Develop and deliver new business initiatives to management and clients.
• Collaborate with the sales support team, including order entry, sales analysts, and sales administration, to meet and exceed sales objectives.
• Partner with colleagues across all departments to ensure daily customer satisfaction.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience managing a food CPG grocery sales team.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience in analyzing scan data (IRI, Nielsen, SPINS) and converting it into effective presentations.
• Background in managing food CPG brokers, including the implementation of store-level and corporate programs.
• Expertise in managing promotional and marketing trade spend, budgeting, and analysis.
• Experience in direct sales to supermarket retailers and wholesale/special distributor grocery operations.
• Proficiency in conducting virtual presentations using platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other web-based conferencing tools.
• Willingness to travel by car and/or air to various markets on a monthly basis.
• Readiness to frequently visit corporate headquarters.
• A valid driver's license with no restrictions and proof of current vehicle insurance.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication skills to inspire a sales team and represent the company and its products to customers effectively.
