
National Director – Workplace Giving, Engagement

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and implement a comprehensive national strategy to enhance workplace giving and matching gift revenue across all programs and events.
• Act as Breakthrough T1D’s expert on workplace giving, matching gift initiatives, trends, and platforms.
• Build and maintain high-level partnerships with vendors and manage platform strategy.
• Establish annual revenue objectives, create multi-year forecasts, and oversee financial planning and performance tracking.
• Monitor and evaluate national KPIs, refining strategy and financial targets based on analytics.
• Lead external communications regarding matching gifts across email, web content, and platform messaging.
• Develop the national workplace giving and matching gift prospecting strategy to cultivate a corporate partner pipeline.
• Direct the national matching gift strategy to boost employee engagement, match activation, and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with Global Development teams to integrate matching gift strategies into existing programs.
• Provide guidance to field staff and local chapters on workplace giving and matching gift strategies.
• Create resources, training sessions, and tools for fundraising staff and volunteers.
• Represent Breakthrough T1D in national Corporate Social Responsibility and workplace giving networks.
• Develop and sustain campaign resources and best practices.
• Establish organizational strategy for the Creating Healthier Communities Program and Combined Federal Campaign payroll deduction.
• Serve as a liaison to CHC and CFC while participating on the Charity Leadership Council.
• Formulate a coordinated stewardship plan for workplace giving and matched donors.
• Collaborate with Finance on revenue attribution, application tracking, and donor receipts.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8 years of experience in managing campaigns and raising over 7 figures annually through workplace giving and fundraising initiatives with Fortune 500 companies.
• Strong project management and organizational capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking for both small and large audiences, and the capacity to create engaging partner communications while representing Breakthrough T1D with professionalism.
• High level of technological proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, donor databases (preferably Salesforce), collaboration platforms (SharePoint, Teams, Zoom), and matching gift platforms (Benevity, YourCause, CyberGrants, Double the Donation, Deed preferred).
• Entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach; comfortable working both independently and within a team setting.
• Ability to make complex decisions requiring sound judgment and initiative.
• Capacity to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders and field leadership.
• Ability to supervise and mentor staff while providing strategic direction across the program.
• Competence in overseeing training strategies and resources and guiding curriculum development.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% for partner engagement, national meetings, and campaign support.
• Ability to occasionally lift and transport materials weighing up to 15–20 pounds.
