National Director – Business Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the national Business Development Manager team.

• Take ownership of the national new-business strategy, execution, and revenue performance.

• Set daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly expectations that align with Solera's growth goals.

• Foster a high-performance culture based on preparation, accountability, urgency, teamwork, and results.

• Conduct national sales meetings, pipeline reviews, forecasting calls, account-strategy sessions, and one-on-one coaching meetings.

• Provide guidance on priorities, target accounts, customer engagement, and opportunity progression.

• Identify performance gaps and create measurable action plans to address them.

• Recruit, nurture, and retain top-performing sales professionals.

• Act as a producing leader accountable for strategic accounts and individual revenue targets.

• Drive prospecting, customer follow-up, and the advancement of qualified opportunities.

• Evaluate pipeline quality, deal velocity, close likelihood, and next-step accountability.

• Maintain precise national sales forecasts and Salesforce documentation.

• Coach on executive-level selling, value-based presentations, negotiation, objection handling, and closing strategies.

• Collaborate on high-value and complex opportunities.

• Build relationships with automotive dealer groups and executive stakeholders.

• Identify new markets, strategic partnerships, and national growth opportunities.

• Enhance LoJack adoption, account penetration, and departmental engagement.

• Develop executive presentations, proposals, business reviews, and sales agreements.

• Ensure a positive customer experience through implementation, onboarding, training, and ongoing support.

• Manage strategic accounts through structured business reviews and executive relationships.

• Represent Solera and LoJack at dealer-group meetings, industry conferences, and strategic events.

• Collaborate with sales operations, customer success, implementation, product, finance, and marketing teams.

• Provide field intelligence and contribute to shaping go-to-market strategies, sales processes, training, and product development.


⛳️ Requirements

• A proven track record in building, leading, and developing high-performing national sales teams.

• Demonstrated success in consistently exceeding ambitious individual and team revenue goals.

• Experience in selling to and managing relationships with large automotive dealer groups at both corporate and dealership levels.

• Strong understanding of automotive retail operations and the complete vehicle transaction, including sales, F&I, service, and retention.

• Executive presence with the ability to establish immediate credibility with dealer principals and C-suite executives.

• Leadership philosophy centered on accountability, transparency, coaching, urgency, and consistent follow-through.

• Capability to translate strategy into daily execution and turn execution into measurable revenue.

• Proven experience managing complex pipelines, accurately forecasting, and closing enterprise-level opportunities.

• Strong business judgment, financial acumen, and negotiation skills.

• Excellent presentation, communication, organizational, and relationship management abilities.

• Proficient in Salesforce, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, LinkedIn, and other sales-enablement technologies.

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.

• Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays.

• Flexibility to work extended hours and be available outside regular business hours as needed for customer or business demands.

• A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Solera's standards.
