This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess the training requirements for the Claims Department and propose appropriate solutions.
• Develop, produce, and deliver training programs using a variety of methods, including presentations, video job aids, PowerPoints, workflows, coaching, mentoring, and other instructional materials.
• Design and oversee the creation of letters, forms, and templates.
• Advocate for uniformity in claim handling and suggest enhancements for greater efficiency and improved claims management.
• Work collaboratively with the claims team and other departments within the organization.
• Complete designated tasks and projects in a timely manner.
• Stay informed about and comply with company policies, claim-related laws, insurance regulations, and other legal obligations.
• Support quality assurance efforts for claim audits as necessary.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients and partners.
• Oversee and maintain adjuster licenses.
• Assist in submitting continuing education hours to RMA and the required State Departments.
• Facilitate and participate in adjuster system training sessions, both in-person and virtually, for MPCI and private products.
• Gather and prepare essential training materials for adjuster training sessions.
• Contribute to the objectives and goals of the claims team and the organization as a whole.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in training and development is preferred.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in crop insurance, agricultural insurance, or a related field, ideally with a national or multi-regional focus, is highly preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Established expertise in crop insurance products (MPCI, crop-hail, private products), underwriting, claims, and RMA regulations.
• Proven success in designing and leading scalable training initiatives for diverse audiences in a national or large-scale corporate environment.
• Experience in managing, mentoring a team of trainers, or coordinating training efforts across multiple locations is highly desirable.
• Must be willing to travel within Palomar’s crop footprint.
• A demonstrated ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward.
