This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Manage and expand a well-established portfolio of multi-family housing accounts.
• Generate new business opportunities.
• Cultivate relationships and devise strategies to enhance sales and profitability for specific national accounts.
• Make informed purchasing decisions.
• Develop, implement, and communicate business plans aimed at increasing sales.
• Establish and maintain business relationships through customer visits, presentations, innovative programs, and effective communication of plans.
• Research, develop, and secure account opportunities.
• Articulate competitive advantages and formulate strategies to capture competitive business.
• Design and implement profitable business plans for both existing and newly acquired accounts.
• Negotiate national contracts and rebate initiatives.
• Collaborate with sales and corporate teams to share account plans and pricing, driving sales growth.
• Engage in local and national trade associations and conferences.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues.
• May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring, reviewing progress and accuracy, and evaluating results.
• Contribute to the professional development of employees, without hiring or termination authority.
• Must reside in Maryland, Ohio, North Carolina, or Virginia.
• Experience in National Account Management.
• 5 or more years of business-to-business (B2B) field sales experience.
• Direct industry experience is required.
• Proficiency in sales and contract negotiations.
• Experience with a large volume of product lines.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and Salesforce, or comparable CRM systems.
• Preferred experience with consultative selling or solution selling.
• Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a remote working environment.
• Requires a BS/BA in a related field and generally 5-8 years of experience in a relevant area, OR an MS/MA with generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
• Certification may be required in certain areas.
• Must operate a personal vehicle.
• An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report is required.
• Typically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.
