
National Accounts Manager, Convenience Sales Team

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieve KPIs centered on sales revenue and market share objectives for the Convenience and Drug Channel.
• Implement sales, marketing, category management, and trade spending strategies.
• Lead a broker team and oversee large multi-state convenience and drug chain operations.
• Attain growth targets for specified J.M. Smucker product lines.
• Meet designated volume and margin business plan goals.
• Facilitate the cross-functional development of sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Identify market, industry, and competitive opportunities for sustainable growth.
• Oversee trade and departmental spending budgets.
• Manage P&L statements and margin objectives for assigned accounts.
• Direct broker business development, customer engagement, and field sales execution.
• Sustain existing business and cultivate new opportunities across current and prospective customers.
• Handle multiple categories with various category managers, strategies, and objectives.
• Design and implement annual customer business plans.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts and renewals.
• Plan and carry out quarterly business reviews.
• Supervise promotional initiatives and execute sales strategies.
• Establish strong relationships between accounts and the J.M. Smucker organization.
• Cultivate customer and broker relationships through direct engagement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Smucker and customer teams.
• Engage with customer purchasing, marketing, R&D, operations, senior executives, and field operations as needed.
• Meet growth and profitability objectives, including P&L input and analysis.
• Utilize syndicated and other data sources to manage and inform trade initiatives.
• Provide timely and accurate visibility into trade budgets.
• Assess business opportunities to expand existing and acquire new Convenience business.
• Collaborate internally to secure marketing and finance support.
• Conduct ad-hoc financial and data analyses, including pre/post-event evaluations.
• Own the annual JBP, quarterly business reviews, and various meetings.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with syndicated data (Circana/IRI, Nielsen).
• Preferred experience with Sheetz, Cumberland Farms, NCD, or CVS.
• Over 5 years of CPG sales experience managing Convenience Chains and Convenience Warehouse Distributors.
• At least 3 years of broker management experience.
• Strong negotiation capabilities.
• Ability to utilize strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Comprehensive understanding of the complexities within the Convenience Channel.
• Experience in delivering Top Level Business Reviews.
• Ability to present opportunities based on financial data and profitability metrics.
• Proximity to a major airport.
• Willingness to travel as needed, including approximately 2 nights per week or 60% of the time for managing face-to-face relationships with customers and brokers.
