This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Oversee designated national accounts to meet volume, revenue, and profit objectives.
• Create and implement customer business strategies that align with channel approaches and account-specific goals.
• Drive Joint Business Planning (JBP) efforts and collaborate with buyers and category managers to enhance lasting partnerships.
• Utilize insight-driven selling that incorporates category, shopper, and financial data to shape recommendations and uncover new prospects.
• Manage pricing, promotions, and trade investments to ensure return on investment (ROI) and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Organize the sell-in and activation of new products, innovations, and promotional initiatives across the account portfolio.
• Collaborate with Category Management, Shopper Insights, and Marketing to provide customized customer solutions.
• Track sales performance, promotional execution, and merchandising adherence using standardized scorecards and performance monitoring.
• Engage in customer meetings, industry events, and trade exhibitions.
• Deliver timely reports, analyses, and insights regarding account performance, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in sales or account management within consumer packaged goods or related sectors.
• Demonstrated success in managing large, intricate national or regional retail accounts with quantifiable sales and market share growth, particularly in Grocery/Dollar channels.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing customer business strategies and trade programs.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in managing pricing, promotions, and trade budgets.
• Proficient in sales analytics tools, CRM systems, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 30–50%, including overnight stays.
• Preferred: experience in consumer goods, tobacco, or regulated sectors.
• Preferred: knowledge of revenue growth management, Power BI, Nielsen, or similar analytics platforms.
• Preferred: advanced understanding of distributor incentive programs and performance scorecards.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to (or exceeding) 45 lbs.
• Capability to navigate convenience stores, warehouses, and retail spaces, including climbing ladders and working in confined areas.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
