
National Account Executive, Self-Funded TPA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for national account clients and their brokers, engaging with executives.
• Develop and sustain trusted partnerships with senior leaders in HR, finance, and benefits.
• Conduct quarterly and/or annual meetings to discuss plan performance, showcasing metrics, claims trends, and strategic suggestions.
• Represent Cobalt during executive-level client discussions, industry conferences, and client-hosted events as required.
• Offer proactive insights regarding emerging industry trends, compliance updates, and factors influencing healthcare costs.
• Assess the performance of benefit plans and pinpoint areas for cost reduction and enhancements in employee health.
• Collaborate with Sales and Underwriting teams to facilitate renewals, identify upsell opportunities, and promote revenue growth.
• Work together with the National Accounts Account Manager to guarantee smooth daily service delivery.
• Oversee escalations and act as the executive escalation contact for high-profile issues.
• Collaborate with the Health Plan Performance/Analytics Consulting team to provide tailored data reporting.
• Convert analytics into executive-level insights and share actionable recommendations.
• Equip clients with data-driven strategies for renewal and performance planning.
• Foster accountability among internal stakeholders to meet National Account standards.
• Engage in the National Accounts Leadership Council, contributing to ongoing improvements and best practices.
• 7–10 years of experience in national account management, strategic client services, or benefits consulting.
• Demonstrated success in engaging with C-suite/executive levels and presenting to senior leadership teams.
• Strong understanding of self-funded health plans, stop-loss, and large group benefits administration is essential.
• Exceptional executive presence, along with outstanding communication and presentation skills, is required.
• Capability to interpret complex data and convert it into actionable business strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems (Salesforce preferred), and reporting/BI tools.
• Travel is necessary (up to 30–40%) for client stewardship meetings, onsite events, and conferences.
• A strategic, collaborative, consultative, and solution-oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering results.
