Music & Lyrics Expert – Japanese

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assess generative music AI models in collaboration with a prominent AI laboratory.

• Analyze AI-generated lyrics in comparison to published songs to uncover similarities.

• Evaluate lyrics based on quality, creativity, adherence to prompts, and originality.

• Determine if the lyrics sound natural, considering word choice, slang, and regional dialects.

• Engage with a diverse array of music genres.

• Receive onboarding information and independently manage project tasks on a flexible schedule.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Japanese.

• Capability to follow detailed written instructions provided in English.

• Background as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or music journalist.

• Familiarity with the Japanese music industry.

• Headphones or studio monitors that are suitable for critical listening.

• Formal education in music performance, theory, or composition (preferred).

• Credited or published work in songwriting (preferred).

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary Japanese genres, sub-genres, and artists (preferred).

• Completion of the Bilingual Competency Interview in Japanese is required.

• Cannot accommodate H1-B or STEM OPT candidates.
