This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
β’ Produce and feature in video content for social media platforms and YouTube, encompassing short-form clips, social-native formats, and contributions to Racing Post shows, both in front of and behind the camera.
β’ Participate in race meetings and various events to create video and written content on-site.
β’ Craft news articles, features, race previews, and reports.
β’ Generate and propose innovative ideas for new video and social-first formats aimed at expanding the audience on digital platforms.
β’ Daily monitoring of racing and betting news to identify visually or socially engaging stories.
β’ Collaborate closely with the Ireland editor and the broader editorial team, especially the Video and Audience teams, to ensure content effectively reaches the appropriate audiences in suitable formats.
β’ Solid understanding of horseracing and betting.
β’ Experience in creating video or social-first content; a personal portfolio, active social media channels, or professional work are all relevant.
β’ Excellent written communication skills and a knack for storytelling across different formats.
β’ Comfort and confidence in front of the camera with the ability to communicate effectively.
β’ Knowledge of social platforms, including performance metrics and effective content creation strategies.
β’ Capacity to work swiftly and accurately under pressure.
β’ Availability to work on weekends and bank holidays as part of a seven-day rota.
β’ Experience in a newsroom or digital publishing setting (preferred).
β’ Video editing capabilities (preferred).
β’ A proven history of audience building on social media platforms (preferred).
β’ A valid, clean driving license (preferred).
