This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Ensure the security of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments.
• Develop and uphold an integrated security framework across both GCP and OCI.
• Establish security guardrails, standard configurations, and fundamental security controls.
• Oversee identity federation across cloud environments.
• Implement and enhance IAM policies, role structures, and least-privilege access controls.
• Set up and manage centralized security monitoring systems, including the GCP Security Command Center.
• Integrate logs, alerts, and telemetry into enterprise-level monitoring solutions.
• Ensure that deployments comply with Department of Veterans Affairs security and compliance standards, such as FedRAMP High, FISMA, and NIST 800-53.
• Collaborate with security, governance, and audit teams to confirm compliance.
• Identify vulnerabilities, policy violations, and architectural risks.
• Propose and implement remediation strategies.
• Work alongside OCI Migration, GCP Foundations, and Data & AI cloud engineering teams.
• Provide expert guidance during design reviews, threat modeling, and release planning.
• Minimum of 5 years in cloud security engineering, enterprise security architecture, or compliance programs.
• At least 3 years of experience leading technical teams to achieve specific objectives and outcomes.
• Demonstrated capability to maintain a cohesive security posture across various cloud service providers.
• Proficient in configuring and managing centralized cloud-native logging, anomaly detection, and security monitoring systems.
• Experienced in executing and overseeing vulnerability scanning processes for compute instances and container images.
• Knowledgeable in implementing security controls for cloud databases, encompassing data masking, risk assessment, and activity auditing.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, accounting/finance, information systems, or a related technical field.
• Possess Public Trust clearance level.
• Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
