This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Support the Mortgage Sales Team with member applications, scheduling appointments, managing member documentation, reporting, and tracking referrals/leads.
• Assist with general inquiries related to mortgages.
• Collect documentation from potential applicants and/or Mortgage Representatives and upload it into the Loan Origination System (LOS).
• Ensure adherence to MCU and third-party loan policies as well as federal, state, and NCUA rules, regulations, and laws.
• Deliver a high level of service to members.
• Handle incoming calls and return calls to prospective borrowers.
• Direct calls to the appropriate Lending Sales and Operations team members.
• Send applications, brochures, and other materials to members via mail.
• Pre-qualify applicants and conduct applications over the phone.
• Create daily, weekly, and monthly sales tracking and member satisfaction survey reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and internal reporting tools.
• Monitor submitted applications and import new loans into Mortgagebot LOS from Point of Sale (POS).
• Assist Mortgage Loan Officers (MLOs) with document collection and member follow-up.
• Issue and send notices for incomplete applications as necessary.
• Schedule appointments for Mortgage Loan Officers.
• Respond to calls and emails directed to the Mortgage team, assisting with inquiries regarding approval processes, mortgage statuses, and loan programs.
• Review and process paperwork submitted by Mortgage Loan Officers and members.
• Scan and upload application documents into Mortgagebot LOS.
• Coordinate and communicate with MLOs, members, and processors to ensure a seamless mortgage application process with accurate documentation.
• Manage multiple loans in a fast-paced environment.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services.
• Meet referral goals and assist in achieving deposit growth objectives.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in a residential lending origination environment, either first or second.
• Familiarity with DocMagic is advantageous.
• NMLS certification will be required.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining outstanding attention to detail.
