This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
⢠Originate and sell residential mortgage loans to meet established sales targets.
⢠Conduct meetings with prospects referred by realtors, developers, lawyers, and other referral partners.
⢠Clarify mortgage products and suggest options tailored to the needs of prospects.
⢠Assist customers throughout the mortgage application journey.
⢠Provide explanations of necessary information and the steps involved in the loan process.
⢠Ensure that applications are completed accurately and are accompanied by the required documentation.
⢠Manage customer expectations concerning processing times and closing timelines.
⢠Generate referrals for mortgage opportunities and additional company offerings.
⢠Collaborate with sales management to develop strategies for achieving sales objectives.
⢠Input loan data into the mortgage loan system and keep precise pipeline records.
⢠Create supporting documentation for underwriting, regulatory, and other necessary purposes.
⢠Submit applications and requisite information to underwriting and processing teams.
⢠Underwrite loans using point-of-sale systems within the designated authority.
⢠Communicate loan decisions and any additional requirements to clients.
⢠Address conditions, finalize loan commitments, and prepare loans for closing.
⢠Coordinate with clients, underwriters, processors, realtors, closing agents, and other stakeholders.
⢠Attend closing meetings as required.
⢠Keep abreast of industry practices, products, mortgage laws, and regulations through ongoing training and seminars.
⢠Participate in homebuyer seminars, home shows, broker meetings, and financing workshops.
⢠Propose adjustments to products, programs, and pricing structures.
⢠Assist in successful TD Bank audits and examinations.
⢠Address complex mortgage requirements.
⢠Bachelor's degree or relevant progressive work experience in addition to the required experience.
⢠Minimum of 2 years in mortgage origination.
⢠Demonstrated sales proficiency.
⢠Developing knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory standards.
⢠Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
⢠Self-motivated with the capability to plan activities aimed at achieving sales goals.
⢠Excellent time management skills.
⢠Superior verbal and written communication abilities.
⢠Proficient in PC applications, with the ability to learn mortgage origination and automated underwriting systems.
⢠Must qualify for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z.
⢠Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.
⢠Successful completion of a criminal background check and credit report evaluation.
⢠Required applicant disclosures/certifications concerning administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings.
⢠Occasional domestic travel may be necessary.
⢠Ability to perform sedentary work, multitask, operate standard office equipment, maintain focus for extended periods, comprehend instructions, and perform basic arithmetic operations.
