Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning Advisor – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create MEAL plans and frameworks tailored for each program.

• Specify indicators, data sources, collection methods, responsibilities, and reporting timelines.

• Design standardized and context-specific monitoring and data collection tools.

• Set up workflows and systems for the routine collection, validation, analysis, reporting, and utilization of program data.

• Enhance organizational capacity to sustain and utilize the MEAL system continuously.

• Assist in staff training, documentation, and handover to ensure sustainability post-consultancy.

• Create a unified EHF MEAL architecture with program-specific modifications for the Hope Power Project, Creative Futures, and DYSF.

• Carry out a targeted MEAL diagnostic to identify implementation priorities.

• Develop the organizational MEAL framework, master indicator framework, program MEAL plans, toolkit, accountability tools, workflows, SOPs, Google Sheets tracking system, dashboard, and maintenance roadmap.

• Facilitate one live reporting and data collection cycle, refine the system, and complete the final handover.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive professional experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning.

• Proven experience in designing organizational or multi-program MEAL systems.

• Demonstrated ability to develop MEAL plans, indicators, data collection tools, and reporting frameworks.

• Experience in establishing monitoring workflows and sustainable data management processes.

• Strong grasp of both quantitative and qualitative monitoring methodologies.

• Experience supporting programs that operate across various countries or contexts.

• Capability to convert technical MEAL concepts into practical tools for program staff.

• Experience in conducting staff training and capacity-building initiatives.

• Strong analytical, facilitation, and technical writing abilities.

• Experience with global programs or similar contexts is preferred.

• In-depth contextual knowledge of Africa through personal experience, long-term professional involvement, or meaningful personal connections.
