Modeling and Simulation Solution Architect

📋 Description

• Design and spearhead the development of enterprise Modeling & Simulation (M&S) solutions that facilitate FAA modernization and BNATCS initiatives.

• Create and implement AI-driven digital twin environments and simulation frameworks to effectively model NAS operations, system performance, and modernization scenarios.

• Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to assist in system design, integration, and verification processes.

• Guide technical teams while offering mentorship to engineers and analysts engaged in modeling, simulation, and digital engineering efforts.

• Construct simulation models and analytical frameworks to evaluate system performance, risk, and operational outcomes in intricate aviation environments.

• Incorporate AI/ML methodologies into modeling and simulation platforms to facilitate predictive analysis, scenario testing, and decision support.

• Perform risk and performance assessments using simulation results to aid FAA program decisions and operational planning.

• Work collaboratively with FAA stakeholders, systems engineers, and program leadership to convert operational requirements into simulation-based solutions.

• Analyze manufacturing, system integration, and operational factors through simulation to enhance lifecycle planning and deployment strategies.

• Provide architectural oversight for simulation infrastructure, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and adherence to FAA engineering standards.

• Prepare and present technical briefings, simulation findings, and architectural recommendations to FAA leadership and program stakeholders.

• Contribute technical expertise to proposals and solution development to support program strategy and business development initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 12 years of experience, which may include supervisory or management roles.

• Must possess the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• Demonstrated expertise in Modeling & Simulation (M&S) and digital engineering environments for complex systems.

• Strong foundation in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies and tools.

• Experience in designing and implementing AI/ML frameworks or Digital Twin architectures.

• Proven background in aerospace, aviation, or FAA-related systems.

• Experience in conducting risk analysis, system performance modeling, and scenario-based simulation studies.

• Familiarity with manufacturing systems modeling, system lifecycle simulation, or operational readiness analysis.

• Established leadership experience in managing or mentoring technical teams and direct reports.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to convert complex technical concepts into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering briefings to senior technical and government stakeholders.

• Preferred: Direct experience in supporting FAA modernization initiatives or NAS-related systems.

• Preferred: Experience with digital twin platforms, AI/ML simulation tools, or advanced modeling frameworks.

• Preferred: Familiarity with FAA systems engineering and safety assurance processes.

• Preferred: Certifications in MBSE, Digital Engineering, or Systems Architecture frameworks.
