Middle Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Collect high-level business requests from client stakeholders and convert them into clear, actionable requirements.

• Conduct feature kick-off and clarification meetings with the client two to three times each week.

• Prepare questions in advance and follow up until all outstanding issues are resolved.

• Examine existing functionality, verify assumptions with stakeholders, and document any undocumented behaviors.

• Create and maintain user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.

• Guide development and QA teams through features and remain available throughout the implementation process.

• Ensure that delivered functionality meets the original business requirements.

• Analyze edge cases, dependencies, and cross-module impacts prior to development.

• Question unclear, contradictory, or low-value requests.

• Develop basic wireframes and UI mockups for feature concepts and hand off to developers.

• Assist QA by reviewing test scenarios against documented acceptance criteria.

• Collaborate with developers, QA Engineers, Project Manager, client Software Director, in-house Business Analyst, Marketing, Merchandising, and additional business teams.

• Participate in modernizing an online medical equipment store from Adobe ColdFusion to Angular and .NET Core.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of practical experience as a Business Analyst on software development projects.

• Strong skills in requirements analysis and documentation.

• Ability to convert vague business needs into clear, structured specifications, including functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with stakeholders.

• High attention to detail, including edge cases, permissions, validation rules, and alternative flows.

• Proficient command of English at B2 level or higher.

• Strong proficiency with generative AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Confluence.

• Basic wireframing skills using Figma, Balsamiq, or similar tools.

• Experience with e-commerce platforms, checkout processes, or digital retail is a significant advantage.

• Exposure to accessibility standards (WCAG) or admin and back-office systems is beneficial.

• Experience working on projects that migrate legacy systems to modern technology stacks.

• Experience documenting reports and back-end logic is a plus.
