This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Oversee a portfolio of current customer accounts to sustain and enhance sales while meeting customer objectives.
• Identify and execute marketing and sales outreach strategies tailored to specific accounts.
• Cultivate long-lasting customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams and client services to showcase offerings and finalize business deals.
• Facilitate CDA and MSA processes as necessary.
• Address customer conflicts and offer solutions utilizing internal resources.
• Provide monthly reports on account and transaction status to sales leadership.
• Present territory performance metrics to internal teams.
• Establish and monitor sales account targets in alignment with company goals.
• Create and assess account business plans and territory KPIs on a quarterly basis.
• Relay customer feedback and market insights to product management and marketing teams.
• Keep precise CRM records for effective account management and forecasting.
• Monitor changes within customer organizations and seek new business opportunities.
• Generate quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
• Analyze sales metrics and recommend actions to enhance performance.
• Encourage transactional sales through e-commerce by educating and monitoring customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a technical background in drug discovery-related fields; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 3+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or a comparable customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated success as a sales account manager within the life sciences sector or a similar customer-facing position.
• Sufficient technical expertise for sales development in drug discovery.
• Sales competencies including negotiation, customer management, and price negotiation.
• Practical sales experience and a commitment to providing an excellent customer experience are preferred.
• Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office.
• Capability to manage time effectively for optimal business returns.
• Understanding of sales performance metrics and proficiency in data analysis for reporting purposes.
• Knowledge or experience in drug discovery.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel within assigned customer territories.
• Ability to engage with customers face-to-face and conduct productive meetings.
• Proficiency in remote communication tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restrictions or sponsorship.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Capability to deliver projects and respond to inquiries punctually.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving mindset.
• Analytical skills utilizing BI and Excel.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with additional hours as necessary.
