Mid-Market Client Relationship Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +27 more states.

📋 Description

• Cultivate trust-based relationships with client stakeholders, which include senior executives, Treasury, Human Resources, Benefits, advisors, and TPAs.

• Advise clients and brokers on investment matters such as performance, diversification, style, and suitability.

• Participate in Plan Investment and Administrative Committee meetings when necessary.

• Evaluate plan data alongside industry trends.

• Create strategic plans that encompass plan design, product offerings, and participant engagement solutions.

• Lead Voya’s cross-functional service team, providing reports on effectiveness based on agreed metrics.

• Oversee client retention efforts, RFIs, RFPs, and benchmarking activities.

• Handle contract negotiations, pricing strategies, contract drafting and signing, as well as Service Level Agreements.

• Coordinate internal resources for client enhancement initiatives.

• Set project launch dates, outline project scope, negotiate project costs, and manage implementation expectations.

• Identify opportunities for organic growth and cross-selling of Voya recordkeeping products.

• Develop, position, finalize, and implement solutions.

• Contribute to RFP submissions and engage in the sales process for new 401(k) business.

• Present Voya’s recordkeeping services and unique value proposition to prospective clients.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in client service relationship management for defined contribution plans.

• Must obtain a state insurance license within 60 days of hire.

• Strong knowledge of 401(k) plans paired with a robust investment background.

• Proven client management experience and proficiency.

• Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification.

• Required industry certifications.

• FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses are mandatory.

• Willingness to travel 35–50% of the time.

• Ability to work from home in a location that supports the designated territory.

• Nationwide location coverage is required.
