This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Execute cloud and system administration while designing, sustaining, and enhancing cloud-based systems.
• Suggest automation and enhancements and collaborate with stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Oversee, construct, deploy, and manage Linux and Windows servers as well as AWS services.
• Administer infrastructure controlled by Puppet.
• Create and develop new cloud-based systems in a public cloud environment.
• Explore new releases of cloud technologies for potential platform enhancements.
• Prepare and maintain relevant documentation.
• Design and architect dependable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions (Senior level).
• Maintain and support production systems.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex incidents and spearhead root cause analysis (Senior level).
• Promote cloud security best practices and cost optimization (Senior level).
• Mentor and guide Mid-level Cloud Engineers and other team members (Senior level).
• Contribute to initiatives focused on infrastructure automation.
• Support positive customer outcomes and uphold responsible lending practices.
• Engage openly and collaboratively with legislative and regulatory entities.
• Identify and escalate significant risks and compliance concerns.
• Assist in preventing issues that could negatively impact the organization’s financial standing or reputation.
• Mid-level: a minimum of 3 years of experience; Senior level: a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Background as a cloud engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in developing and managing AWS environments.
• Experience in Linux server administration.
• Familiarity with Puppet configuration management.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, including CloudFormation, Terraform, and Serverless.
• Experience with Bash and Linux shell scripting.
• Automation experience with GitHub Actions or comparable frameworks.
• Understanding of AWS RDS and related AWS database services.
• Experience managing web servers like nginx or Apache.
• Background working in an Agile environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adhere to project timelines.
• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills.
• Methodical approach to system development and testing, with a focus on detail and quality.
• Openness to new challenges and ideas.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and communicate issues for resolution.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies.
• Advantageous: experience with Jira.
• Advantageous: experience calling AWS APIs.
• Advantageous: familiarity with Node.js, JavaScript, REST/JSON web services, and API testing tools like Postman.
• Advantageous: experience with Continuous Integration pipelines, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or AWS CodePipeline.
