Mid-Level SAP S/4HANA Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, optimize, and manage SAP CDS Views to organize business rules and present S/4HANA data.

• Create and provide RESTful services and OData V2 and V4 APIs using SAP RAP for synchronous read and write integrations.

• Tailor and enhance standard S/4HANA APIs through Key User Extensibility and Developer Extensibility.

• Develop ABAP customizations, ABAP Objects classes, BAdIs, function modules, and Z objects utilizing Eclipse/ABAP Development Tools.

• Implement and oversee error handling, Application Log entries, and failure management.

• Supervise interfaces, analyze production failures, reprocess messages, and manage incidents through root-cause analysis.

• Create API contracts and technical documentation.

• Work collaboratively with Product and Architecture teams on refinement and solution development.

• Engage in technical refinements, estimations, and solution development with Architecture, Product, and business teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated mid-level experience in ABAP development, including practical work with integration scenarios and data exposure.

• Experience within an SAP S/4HANA environment, with a comprehension of the extensibility model and Clean Core guidelines.

• Expertise in Eclipse and ABAP Development Tools (ADT).

• Solid foundation in object-oriented ABAP programming, encompassing classes, interfaces, inheritance, class-based exceptions, and component reuse.

• Creation of SAP CDS Views, including annotations, associations, projection and consumption views, parameters, and performance considerations.

• Familiarity with the SAP RAP framework, covering Behavior Definition, Behavior Implementation, managed and unmanaged scenarios, actions, validations, determinations, Service Definition, and Service Binding.

• Proficient in OData V2 and V4 APIs, including modeling, exposure, consumption, filtering, pagination, batch operations, and error management.

• Understanding of S/4HANA extensibility, comprising Key User Extensibility, Developer Extensibility, BAdIs, released extension points, and objects with release contracts.

• Development experience with Z customizations, including Z programs, Z function modules, Z classes, and Z tables.

• Knowledge of modern ABAP SQL and best practices for code pushdown to HANA.

• Skills in data modeling and SQL for investigating and reconciling information across systems.

• Experience with coding assistants such as Claude Assistant or similar tools.

• Exposure to ABAP Cloud and Embedded Steampunk (SAP BTP ABAP Environment).

• SAP certifications in ABAP development for S/4HANA or ABAP Cloud.

• Knowledge of SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite (BTP).

• Experience in integrating with SAP ECC using SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite.

• Programming experience in complementary languages such as .NET or Java.

• Familiarity with e-commerce and/or marketplace architectures.

• Knowledge of private cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
