Mid-Level Backend Engineer – Event-Driven SaaS Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain high-throughput backend services and public REST APIs on a multi-tenant cloud platform.

• Implement comprehensive observability using structured logging, custom metrics, and alerting through Grafana or PagerDuty.

• Write thorough unit and integration tests.

• Take ownership of features throughout deployment and provide post-release support.

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Leadership in the US to convert business requirements into technical designs.

• Engage in peer code reviews, architecture discussions, and improvements to workflows.

• Monitor service health and react to automated production alerts for time-sensitive workloads.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.

• Strong expertise in C# and .NET 8+.

• Extensive experience with relational databases, including T-SQL, schema design, and optimizing query performance in SQL Server.

• Proven track record of owning features throughout their entire lifecycle, encompassing automated testing, telemetry setup, and production support.

• Experience in deploying and managing backend services on cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Azure; AWS or GCP experience is also acceptable.

• Knowledge of distributed systems, multi-tenant architectures, asynchronous messaging, and event-driven architecture (pub/sub).

• Advanced proficiency in English communication.

• Ability to collaborate across US time zones.

• Familiarity with Azure Service Bus, Application Insights, and Log Analytics (KQL) is an advantage.

• Experience in configuring Grafana dashboards and managing PagerDuty incident response is preferred.

• Willingness to assist with CI/CD pipelines or engage in light frontend tasks as required.

• Interest in high-frequency data processing, marketplace logic, or modern AI tooling is a plus.
