Mid Backend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage backend APIs and services utilizing C# and .NET.

• Operate within a well-structured architecture and microservices-oriented environment employing UseCases, repositories, and domain entities.

• Create and execute backend workflows and RESTful APIs.

• Compose maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.

• Engage in code evaluations and technical discussions.

• Work with SQL databases, Entity Framework, and transactional workflows.

• Collaborate with frontend developers on multi-step workflows and API agreements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in backend engineering.

• Proficient experience with C# and .NET.

• Proven experience in developing REST APIs.

• Solid comprehension of clean architecture or layered architecture.

• Familiarity with Entity Framework, SQL, and relational databases.

• Knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms along with microservices-based systems.

• Strong analytical and debugging capabilities.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience in banking, fintech, CRM, or onboarding platforms (Preferred).

• Understanding of concurrency, idempotency, and workflow orchestration (Preferred).

• Background in distributed systems and cloud-native services (Preferred).

• Candidates must possess a valid EU passport or work permit for Portugal if located in Portugal, or a UK passport/work permit if situated in the UK.
