Merchant Implementation Manager – Payments

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Cyprus.

📋 Description

• Oversee the onboarding process for merchants, from the initial setup to a successful production launch.

• Establish merchant accounts and necessary payment configurations within internal systems.

• Prepare and supply merchants with credentials, access information, and integration details.

• Assist merchants with API integration, clarifying integration requirements and payment workflows.

• Serve as the primary contact for merchants throughout the implementation and testing phases.

• Organize and facilitate merchant testing across various environments.

• Support merchants in executing test scenarios and verifying successful payment processes.

• Investigate initial integration issues and gather the necessary technical information.

• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Development teams to resolve issues.

• Monitor integration progress, identify blockers, and manage open questions and next steps for each merchant.

• Prepare merchants for go-live, ensuring all configurations and testing are finalized prior to production launch.

• Provide support to merchants during their initial production transactions and address any launch-related challenges.

• Maintain and enhance documentation related to merchant onboarding and integration.

• Recognize recurring integration issues and propose enhancements to processes, documentation, and product workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in merchant implementation, technical account management, integration support, payment operations, or a related field.

• Experience in Payments, FinTech, PSP, or payment processing sectors.

• Solid understanding of online payment processes and the payment lifecycle.

• Basic knowledge of API integrations, HTTP requests, webhooks/callbacks, and authentication methods.

• Familiarity with API documentation and tools like Postman.

• Ability to investigate technical issues, gather pertinent information, and communicate effectively with technical teams.

• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage directly with external partners.

• Capability to manage multiple merchant integrations concurrently, tracking their statuses, blockers, and next steps effectively.

• Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding payment configurations and production environments.

• Willingness to take ownership and drive integrations to completion.

• Proficient spoken and written English skills.

• Experience with card payments, alternative payment methods, bank transfers, or cryptocurrency transactions.

• Understanding of 3DS payment processes.

• Experience with merchant wallets, payment routing, terminals, or provider configurations.

• Familiarity with transaction logs and reasons for payment declines.

• Previous involvement in merchant go-live processes.
