Mental Health Therapist – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct mental health evaluations and provide teletherapy services to K-12 students and school personnel in affiliated school districts.

• Engage in case discussions alongside Cartwheel team members.

• Assist students and families in the transition to community care providers.

• Foster collaborative relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families.

• Maintain regular communication with school personnel.

• Contribute to the development of a new collaborative mental health care model for schools in West Virginia.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

• A valid license in West Virginia to provide mental health care (LICSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD).

• Proficiency in CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing.

• Experience in delivering care through telehealth platforms.

• Strong technical skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.

• Familiarity with G-Suite, electronic health record systems, and collaboration tools.

• Access to reliable, high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload).

• Exceptional organizational, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Willingness to provide services during and especially after school hours, such as from 3–8 pm Eastern Time.

• A minimum of five years of clinical experience post-licensure working with children and youth via telehealth (extra credit).

• Experience in rural communities (extra credit).

• Background in parent guidance (extra credit).

• An active NPI number (extra credit).

• CAQH credentialing established (extra credit).

• Documentation for E-Verify work authorization.
