Mental Health Therapist, Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct mental health evaluations and teletherapy sessions for PreK-12 students and school personnel in partner school districts.

• Deliver care generally for a duration of 2-4 months per student, with possible extensions based on clinical requirements and clinician assessment.

• Engage in case discussions alongside other Cartwheel team members.

• Assist students and families in transitioning to community care providers.

• Foster collaborative relationships with school leadership, staff, students, and families.

• Meet regularly with school personnel to address student mental health needs and devise strategies to enhance school services.

• Offer clinical supervision to fellow care team members if qualified and interested.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess an active independent license in Wisconsin to provide mental health care (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD/PsyD).

• Have experience with CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, and/or motivational interviewing.

• Minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services to children and youth through telehealth.

• Familiarity with Zoom, GSuite, electronic health record systems, and other collaborative tools.

• Access to dependable, high-speed internet (50 Mbps download, 10 Mbps upload).

• Availability to offer hours during, and especially after, school hours, such as 3-8 pm Central Time and Saturdays.

• Capability to deliver effective and safe care to children and adults, including managing crisis situations virtually.

• Dedication to working with schools on mental health initiatives and contributing to the growth of a startup organization.

• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork abilities.

• Proficiency in additional languages, such as Spanish or Portuguese (extra credit).

• Experience in parent guidance (extra credit).

• Qualified to provide clinical supervision in Wisconsin (extra credit).

• Possession of an active NPI number (extra credit).

• CAQH credentialing established (extra credit).

• Must present valid documentation to confirm identity and work authorization.
